A Word About Dental Insurance
Our front office will prepare all of the necessary forms for this important benefit. However, we remind you that your policy is an agreement between you and/or employer and your insurance company, not between your insurance company and our office.
We can make no guarantee of any estimated coverage, but we’ll do our best to see that you receive your maximum benefits. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. If you would like to know what your expected coverage will be, we will submit a pre-treatment estimate. Your insurer will generally send a detailed response within 4-6 weeks.
Cosmetic Dentistry and Insurance
Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by most dental insurance policies; however, partial benefits are often available if the teeth are broken or have previous dental fillings, bonding, or crowns. Also, most insurance companies will pay approximately 80% of the cost for silver fillings on posterior (molar and bicuspid) teeth. If a more expensive porcelain or tooth-colored filling material is used, the insurance company usually still pays their percentage based on the cost of the less expensive silver filling.

A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and moved to Las Vegas with the Air Force dental program. He has maintained a private dental practice since 1968. Realizing that technology is the future of dentistry, Dr. Dave has continued to learn new and exciting treatment options for his patients, from implants to veneers to single visit computer generated porcelain crowns and fillings. Dr. Dave is also member of the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, the Souther Nevada Dental Society, the Clark County Dental Peer Review Board, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Las Vegas Study Club.
Douglas D. Sandquist DDS
Graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1997, and began practice with Dr. Dave(his father) in February 1998. Since that time he has participated in hours of Continuing Education, while also being mentored by Dr. Dave. Dr. Doug has been instrumental in integrating Air Abrasion(drilless fillings), and computer generated porcelain fillings and crowns. Dr. Doug is a member of the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, the Southern Nevada Dental Society, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and the Las Vegas Study Club.
Both doctors complete an average of 50 hours of continuing education annually.

Our office is located on Lake Sahara Dr. which is the first stop light west of Durango, as you travel west on Sahara. Turn left on Lake Sahara Dr about half way down Lake Sahara Dr. on the left hand side is a yellow two story building.. We are located on the bottom floor with our entrance on the east of the building!
